AMP - Alerts Messaging Platform
AMP is an Alerts Engine that allows sending time-based, on request or event triggered messages, like MMS, SMS and Email Messages. AMP is a service delivery platform that targets mobile operators and content providers, with the objective of generating revenue per subscriptions and per message.
AMP Features
- Multi Service Platform. Supports scheduled alerts (triggered based on a calendar), alerts on demand (Ex: triggered when the customer asks for the content) and per-customer scheduling (customer defines the triggering schedule);
- Provides a role based web based management that allows configuration, service management, subscription management and reports generation;
- Supports the adaptation of messages to terminals: image resizing/conversion and content transformations according to target user agents;
- Allows the separation of billable subscribers from non-billable;
- Provides external subscription API (also accessible through web services);
- Connects directly with SMSC (UCP and SMPP), MMSC (MM7) and SMTP Servers;
- Built-in functionality for customer trial subscription with opt-out support;
- Processes SMS and MMS delivery reports;
- Built over a pluggable architecture, that can be easily extended to integrate with billing platforms, content providers and messaging platforms.
Technical Features
- Performance - Can easily process alerts delivering messages to service subscribers at a rate of 1.000 messages/second (1.5+Ghz processor, 1GB RAM, 1.000.000 subscribers);
- Open Technology - Based on the J2EE stack, using services like JMS, EJB and XML; Web GUI with AJAX technology and SSO support;
- Platform Independent - Can run in several operating systems, like Windows, Linux and other Unix distributions;
- Database Independent - The data can be persisted to several database servers, like Oracle, Sybase, Postgresql and SQL Server;
- Clustered - Supports software clustering. Multiple instances can be installed in several machines, and those instances will automatically guarantee load-balancing and failover. The cluster can be internally divided into sub-clusters dedicated to process specific types of messages, allowing for example, to have some nodes of the cluster 100% dedicated to process the alerts of customers with SLA's.
