Media Capital Multimédia has launched, last February 4, the TVI HD application, developed from a partnership with Xpand IT. This is another successful partnership between the two companies, after the launch of the TVI24 HD, Maisfutebol HD e Anuário “Incrível Porto” apps. Now TVI HD is available in your iPad and soon the iPhone and Android apps will be launched.

Through a differentiating navigation, users can easily and instinctively access contents. The application is very functional, instructive and highly usable. The initial grid is one of its strong points, as it makes it easier to access to the main multimedia contents. This app also contains specific areas for news, programs, detailed information on program schedules, synopses, episode videos and clips.

The LISS (Lusofona Information Systems School) has opened registrations for the 3RD Edition of the Advanced Management Information Systems. The course is scheduled to start in March 2012 and will run on a semester after work and Saturday mornings.

The program is oriented to IT professionals and consultants seeking for new bases of management information systems, professionals in business management, as well as other licensees wishing to begin or deepen their knowledge in the SI area.

Xpand IT has been certified by the EIC (International Certification Company) by Standard NP4457: 2007 for the Research and Development of Innovative Solutions.

Starting in March 2011, Xpand IT has been building a Research, Development and Innovation (IR&D) department from the ground up, with the objective of slowly shifting the horizon into productization. This was a very natural evolution from our XPAGILE project. Since then, everything has been set up, from the internal grounds for the innovation processes, innovation policies, internal creativity challenges and workshops to the department code name, which was baptized as the Xpand Labs.

In order to achieve our department goal several engagements have been happening: forming partnerships with universities, integration with our own XPAGILE Software Development Center (SDC), as well as hiring dedicated resources to work in the innovation context.
