Xpand IT will be present at Directions 2012

The 15th edition of this reference event in the IT market will get together some national personalities who will discuss the role of information and communication technologies in the future of the Portuguese organizations.

In the current context of economic and social changes, this edition of Directions 2012 will be focused on the importance of new technologies and its strategic role in the revitalization of the national economy. Representatives of the Portuguese Government and some of the major international companies will get together to discuss these subjects. The seminar will also include the participation of Herman José, Portuguese humorist who will speak on: “Laughter – or the importance of endorphins in the economic recovery.” This event will take place at the Centro de Congressos do Estoril on October 18, between 9:30 and 18:00.

In the current paradigm of economic crisis that is taking place all over the Euro Zone, some experts believe that this may be an opportunity to restructure the national economy. Thus, the main topics under consideration are: i) the evolution of the Portuguese market, ii) the management of disruptive changes, iii) the need to rethink the structure of companies and technologies in all their dimensions; vi) the importance of Human Capital; v) the impact of social, mobile and virtual aspects.
